Despite mounds of snow everywhere,around 23 people attended last night's meeting of the Highlands Coalition, Inc. last night in the gym of the Ford School. Considering the cold weather the turnout was both amazing and encouraging.
The most exciting aspect of the turnout was the many new faces I saw. Not only were the core older members present but also some young faces. With the younger crowd, HICO should be energized to attain the goals of the coalition. Perhaps this new found energy will carry forward and enable our community to demand the respect we deserve.
