Once again the example of the HIGHLANDS COALITION and FORD SCHOOL have been proven to be ahead of the curve. Tonight at the big UNITED WAY meeting, Lynn - Community by Community Co..., there was a lot of talk about the new philosophy being promulgated by the agency now is community empowerment and that the way to see real change is in the community taking ownership in the services provided to them and by them.
I don't know if they are trying to reinvent the wheel but we've been doing that up here in the HIGHLANDS for years. Guess some people are finally learning!
