Atthe base of the Highlands on one side runs the infamous Union Street. Urban lore has long been accepted as fact. This bad reputation tarnishes all of Lynn. My man, CEF ROSA, CANDIDATE FOR WARD 4 COUNCILMAN is going to pull together member's of the mayor's office,the economic development office, business and community leaders to come up with a plan to change the image of Union Street.
Some of the ideas that CEF plans to propose are improving the lighting and putting some crosswalk signs at intersections. Both represent vital public safety improvements. Along that line of safety concerns is making sure there is an enhanced police presence because increased visibility is increased security.
Also just establishing a regular clean-up schedule and a general sprucing up will not only brighten the physical appearance but will lift the spirits of the residents but also give a more positive ambiance to the community.
