CEF SAYS TO THE ITEM

Ceferino Rosa was asked the biggest challenge facing Ward 4: We have to overcome the negative image that Union Street has earned across the North Shore, by doing that we will address a multitude of smaller, yet significant problems in Ward 4. As a private citizen I have already scheduled a meeting with the mayor’s office to address these concerns and I have called the head of the Latino Business Association to get them on board with my push for greater social and economic development of that street. By joining together with religious and civic leaders we can put boots on the ground to clean up the crime and all the other trash on the streets to help transform what has long been a blighted area into a vibrant, multi-colored flower garden that will add beauty to our Ward 4.
This is a problem for everyone so everyone needs to be involved in the solution. If many voices are heard, they can be blended into a harmonious answer that
will solve this problem. City government has a part to play, a huge part with grants for economic development and community policing, it doesn’t have the
only one. It is up to us as citizens to use our voices to sing a new song for our city with Ward 4 leading the way.
