FROM THE LYNN ITEM: 09-22-11
Hong Net has my
support in Lynn race
To The Item Editor,
I thank those who supported me
in the primary election for Lynn
City Councilor-at-Large.
Being a relative newcomer to
our city, and despite having a
solid record of achievement and
visions in Lynn, I always considered
myself an underdog in the
diverse, crowded field.
I am buoyed by the emergence of
some candidates as a real alternative
to the usual. Accordingly, I am
endorsing Hong Net as one of your
city councilor choices on Nov. 8.
Hong’s platform of community
working together toward a united
city most closely aligns itself with
my views. His independence and
able circle of advisors is a fine
combination to welcome to the
Council.
Please, turn out in droves in
November. Better yet, exercise
your right to use an absentee ballot
if you have a physical reason
or plan to be out of town on election
day. Remember, your reasons
are private, and no one can intimidate
you into not requesting an
absentee ballot. It’s the law,
enforced by the Secretary of State.
For safety’s sake, remember that
it can be snowing or otherwise
inclement in New England in
early November. Take potential
danger out of the equation. You
can vote “over the counter” at the
Election Office in City Hall during
business hours, as soon as the
ballots are printed.
Elect Hong Net to the Lynn City
Council on Nov. 8. Do not miss
this opportunity.
With sincere appreciation,
Calvin Anderson
Lynn
