HIGHLANDS COALITION member and GATEWAY PROJECT founder Calvin Anderson (who also should be one of your votes for COUNCILOR-AT-LARGE) issued the following press release:
LYNN, MA-- The victims of September 11, 2001 will be remembered at a sunset candle light vigil to close out the 10th anniversary of the events at the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and Flight 93. The public is invited to attend the event at 7:30pm on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at Gateway Park, across from 80 Sagamore St. in Lynn. Gateway Park was created by volunteers through The Gateway Project for Lynn from a neglected public parcel and dedicated in April 2002 to the memory of 9/11. The candle light vigil is meant as a way to close out a day of national and local observances of the anniversary.
